NAME The X-Ray Spectrometer (XRS) for NEAR Shoemaker

DESCRIPTION The X-Ray Spectrometer (XRS) was part of the X-Ray/Gamma-Ray Spectrometer (XGRS) suite on the NEAR Shoemaker spacecraft. it was designed to measure the characteristic X-ray emissions induced on the surface of the asteroid (433) Eros by the incident solar flux.
