| DESCRIPTION |
The Apollo 12 Command and Service Module (CSM) spacecraft orbited the Moon during the Apollo 12 mission. It was comprised of two distinct units: the Command Module (CM), which housed the crew, spacecraft operations systems, and re-entry equipment, and the Service Module (SM) which carried most of the consumables and the main propulsion system. Scientific experiments were also performed on the Apollo 12 CSM; these include the Photography Experiment, Multispectral Photography Experiment, Window Meteoroid Detector Experiment, and the S-Band Transponder Experiment.
