| DESCRIPTION |
The Venera 11 spacecraft, like its sister craft Venera 12, comprised twoparts, a flyby carrier bus (flight platform) and an attached lander probe tostudy Venus. The flight platform had instruments to study solar-windcomposition, gamma-ray bursts, ultraviolet radiation, and the electrondensity of the ionosphere of Venus.
