DESCRIPTION |
A rapidly rotating Amor asteroid that has a satellite, Didymos I named "Dimorphos", with an orbital period of 11.9 hours. Arecibo radar imaging helped confirm the presence of Dimorphos on 2003 Nov 23. The Didymos system is the target of the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission. |
