Data Set Abstract Abstract ======== This data set consists of the MESSENGER Mercury Laser Altimeter (MLA) uncalibrated observations, also known as Experiment Data Records, or EDRs. The MLA is a solid-state pulsed laser that measures the distance between the spacecraft and the surface of Mercury. There are three EDR data products, MLASCIENCERAW, MLASTATUS, and MLAHDIAGNOSTIC, including the laser ranges, instrument status, and hardware diagnostic information.
