Data Set Abstract SPICE deals with ancillary data needed to support the planning for, and analysis of, science instrument data. As well as software (the SPICE toolkit) and documentation, SPICE provides data files, called kernels, that contain ancillary information which has been created in such a way as to allow easy access and correct usage by the space science and engineering communities.
