| DESCRIPTION |
This document, originally published in 1988, defines procedures and standards
for preparing data for submission to the Planetary Data System project,
precursor to the Planetary Data System (PDS) which became operational in late
1989. It is the predecessor to the PDS Standards Reference, Data Dictionary
Document, and several other references that evolved as the documentation set
for PDS Version 3.x, or "PDS3" as it was identified in the data labels.
