DATA_SET_DESCRIPTION Data Set Overview : This data set contains documentation for the Deep Impact Mission archive. It specifically includes documentation for the raw and reduced cruise and 9P/Tempel 1 encounter data sets (for science and navigation) as well as the laboratory thermal-vacuum data sets. The documents apply to mission data collected from 27 June 2002 through 13 July 2005, nine days after the encounter with comet 9P/Tempel 1. CONFIDENCE_LEVEL_NOTE Confidence Level Overview : The documentation in this data set was prepared, used, and internally checked by the science, navigation, data center, and archive teams for the Deep Impact project. Review : Earlier, partial versions of this data set passed peer-reviews held in November 2006. The final, full version of this data set was reviewed in April 2007 and was accepted for the PDS archive pending resolution of liens (that were completed in December 2007).
