Data Set Overview :  This dataset includes the infrared spectrophotometry asteroid data reported in the following papers:  Lebofsky, L.A. 1980. In addition to the file containing all the spectra in a single file, individual files for each spectrum are available in the 'split' subdirectory.

Confidence Level Overview :  This data is a compilation of results reported in the published literature. Error estimates are given for the individual data values. The individual references are to be consulted for any additional information regarding the confidence level of the observations.  Review :  This dataset underwent formal external review on March 31, 1995.  Data Coverage and Quality :  The PDS Three Micron dataset is intended to comprise a relatively coherent set of asteroid infrared spectrophotometry data taken by a single group of researchers working together. It does not purport to be a comprehensive survey of all asteroid infrared spectrophotometry.
