Data Set Overview
  =================
    The table lists orbital and physical properties for well-observed
    or suspected binary minor planets and Pluto/Charon, as inspired
    from Richardson & Walsh 2006 (Annu. Rev. Earth Planet. Sci. 34,
    47-81).  The table columns are as follows: asteroid number;
    asteroid name; provisional designation; asteroid type (N =
    near-Earth asteroid, M = Main Belt asteroid, T = Jupiter Trojan, K
    = trans-neptunian object); semimajor axis of system with respect
    to Sun (in AU); eccentricity of system; diameter of primary (km);
    diameter of primary uncertainty (km); spin period of primary (h);
    spin period uncertainty (h); semimajor axis of binary (km);
    semimajor axis of binary uncertainty (km); diameter of secondary
    (km); diameter of secondary uncertainty (km); orbital period of
    binary (d); orbital period of binary uncertainty (d); system mass
    (kg); system mass uncertainty (kg); system density (g/cc); system
    density uncertainty (g/cc); and reference code(s). Dashes or
    invalid inputs (usually -9.99) indicate unassigned or unknown
    values. Reference codes (usually more than one per binary) refer
    to entries in the ancillary document which provides full citation
    information. Data are ordered by asteroid number, then
    provisional designation.

CITATION_DESCRIPTION Richardson, D.C. and Walsh, K.J., Eds., Binary Minor Planets V1.0. EAR-A-COMPIL-5-BINMP-V1.0. NASA Planetary Data System, 2006.
ABSTRACT_TEXT We present a data table giving basic physical and orbital parameters for known binary minor planets in the Solar System (and Pluto/Charon) based on published literature. For the purposes of this table, a binary minor planet is any mutually orbiting pair of minor planets in our Solar System, where a minor planet is any substantial body orbiting the Sun that is not a major planet, nor is bound to a major planet.
