-------------------------------------------------------------------------+PLEASE NOTE: The previous version of this dataset, V1.0, waserroneous in that it lacked any meaningful data. Please useversion LRO-L-DLRE-5-PRP-V2.0 in your citations.Data Product Overview :The Diviner NASA Level 4 Polar Resource Products (PRP) are produced from thermal model fits to Diviner north and south polar observations from the first year of mapping orbit. The derived quantities are: annual average surface temperature, annual maximum surface temperature, and depth to water ice permafrost. The results for the north and south polar regions are contained in separate ASCII files. Each line of the file corresponds to a triangular mesh element in a north or south polar digital elevation model derived from the Kaguya laser altimeter experiment results (Araki et al., Science 223, 897, 2009). The mesh consists of 288000 triangles and covers a square region centered on the pole to 80 degrees latitude. The model approach and model parameters used generate the PRP are described in Paige et al. Science 330, 497 (2010) andin the online supporting material associated with this publication. The north polar PRP's were produced using the same datasets, modelingapproach and model parameters as the south polar PRP. Data Processing Level:The Diviner PRP data products are derived from models and parameters Diviner Reduced Data Record (RDR) data products.PRPs are CODMAC Level 5 (NASA Level 4).Data Product Generation :The Diviner PRP data products and labels are generated by the Diviner Science Team at UCLA.Data Flow :The Diviner PRPs will be made available via a data release on March 15, 2011, six months after the end of the first yearof mapping orbit. Review:This archival data set was examined by a peer review panel prior to its acceptance by the Planetary Data System (PDS). The peer review was conducted in accordance with PDS procedures.Prior to creation of the final version of the archival data set, key elements of the archive were distributed for preliminary review. These included electronic versions of example PDS labels, CATALOG files, and Software Interface Specifications (SISs). These materials were distributed to PDS personnel, the experiment investigator, and others, as appropriate.Known Issues:None.

| ABSTRACT_TEXT |
This data set consists of the Diviner Lunar Radiometer Experiment Polar Resource Products also known as PRPs. The DLRE is a surface pushbroom mapper that measures emitted thermal radiation and reflected solar radiation from the surface of the moon. Two Diviner solar channels measure 0.3-3 micrometers reflected solar radiation. Three Diviner channels near 8 micrometers classify regolith mineralogy by mapping the location of the Christiansen feature. The remaining four Diviner channels measure surface temperature in four spectral bands ranging from 12.5 micrometers to beyond 200 micrometers.
