DATA_SET_DESCRIPTION Data Set Overview:This data set contains the data referred to the GRM tests performedfor the entire mission.There are data acquired in 2002 used for pre-launch instrument testing andcalibration.There are later data taken in 2012 during commissioning and data taken duringFirst Science Sequence (FSS) in 2014. During FSS, all the tests were aimed atverifying the mission plans (list of commands) prepared for the activitiesrequested to SD2 during the FSS phase prior to their onboard execution.Data:Both data, scientific and housekeeping, are collected in this dataset. They refers to CODMAC Level 3. Note that the Volume Checker wasnot used during FSS activities. The decision of not using it was basedon one main concern: due to the possible presence of ice, the samplecould have remained attached to the Volume Checker and, then, removedfrom the oven during the sample discharging operation. The fact thatthe Volume Checker was not used is evident from the columns associatedto the Volume Checker displacement in the calibrated data, which reportthe number 9999.99.The list of activities requested to SD2 and tested on the GRM for theFSS phase follows:First sampling: offset 530 mm, sample in Oven #19 (HTO) to PTOLEMY1. Rearming oven under drill2. 15 mm downward and upward drill translation for drill bit rearming3. Hole under drill4. Drilling to 530 mm5. Sample retrieval6. Oven #19 under drill7. 10 mm downward and upward drill translation for sample release8. Oven #19 under PTOLEMYSecond sampling: offset 560 mm, sample in Oven #17 (HTO) to COSAC1. ABSTRACT_TEXT This archive contains calibrated and telemetry test data from the SD2 instrument on Rosetta Lander Ground Reference Model, acquired during the entire mission. It also contains documentation which describes the SD2 experiment. The data archived in this data set conform to the Planetary Data System (PDS) Standards, Version 3.6.
