DATA_SET_DESCRIPTION |
The current data set (version V1.1) is superseding the
previous released version of Comet Escort 2 data set
(RO-C-GIA-3-ESC2-COMET-ESCORT-2-V1.0),we fixed a time issue
occurred in some tables and we have addressed all the RIDs
requested during the scientific review.
The format of data reported in GIADA data sets is the same
for all mission phases. Physical Measurements, obtained by the
detected events (GDS+IS or IS only) are reported in the
PHYSDATA dir, in which we report: Time, Momentum, Mass and
speed of each detected particles.
The data reported in PHYSDATA dir are processed by the GIADA
PIPELINE, which distinguishes the 'GOOD' data present in the
GDSIS and IS dir from the spurious events.
So the data reported in PHYSDATA dir are classified as 'GOOD',
[see RO_GIA_IAPSUPA_IF_012_I1, par. 3.3.1], i.e. no spurious
SCI data are reported.
The GIADA data collected in the present DataSet are complete
and follow, without time interruption, the data of Comet
Escort 1 DataSet (RO-C-GIA-3-ESC1-COMET-ESCORT-1-V1.1).
The GIADA Scientific phase started on 7 May 2014 and was
devoted to the characterization of the 67P environment.
Housekeeping and Calibration data from all GIADA sub-systems
are useful to evaluate instrument health and behaviour when
compared with similar data acquired during other mission
phases.
The current data set is superceding a previous Comet Escort 2
data set(RO-C-GIA-3-ESC2-COMET-ESCORT-2-V1.0). We fixed an
issue on some times reported in: GDS, GDS_CAL, IS_CAL, MBS,
MBS_CAL and GDSIS tables.
We stress that this error has never affected the data
contained in PHYSDATA dir
