This dataset includes MIDAS data from the ROSETTA EXTENSION phase 1.

The current release is based on the results of the Comet Science
Reviews held in Feb 2016, Oct 2017 and Oct 2018 and contains the
updates defined in the MIDAS Enhanced Archive Data Delivery contract.

      All telemetry data frames produced by MIDAS contained checksums
      that were validated upon ground receipt.

      During the processing of the data in preparation for delivery
      with this volume, the structure of the telemetry data packets
      was verified. This verification included detection of both the
      DDS header and the length of each packet, which ensured that all
      packets were complete and not damaged.

      The validity of the data has been approved by the MIDAS Science
      Lead and Science team members by review of the included images
      and evaluation of the associated housekeeping information.

ABSTRACT_TEXT The Micro-Imaging Dust Analysis System (MIDAS) is an instrument on the ROSETTA Orbiter that will provide 3D images and statistical parameters of pristine cometary particles, collected in the vicinity of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. This data set includes all data from the ROSETTA EXTENSION 1 mission phase. This release supersedes version 2.0.
