Data Set Overview:Contents:A. Operations overviewB. Dataset statusC. Scientific useD. Updates since previous versionA. Operations overview----------------------LAP operations are described in the operations report,IRFU-ROS-OPR-PRL in the DOCUMENT/FLIGHT_REPORTS directory of thisdata set.B. Dataset status-----------------This dataset contains scientifically useful data from the RosettaRPC-LAP instrument. The data contained are primary instrument data,in instrument units (TM) and NOT calibrated to physical units(volts and amperes) and with instrumental offsets NOT removed.See the caveats in Section C below for data use.C. Scientific use-----------------While the edited data are scientifically useful to instrumentexperts, these data files are supplied mainly for long-term archivingand reference purposes and are not intended or suitable forscientific use by the wider community. At a later stage, a DERIVEDdata set will be delivered, providing directly useful scientificquantities (e.g. plasma density, wave spectra, electron temperature). For information on exact data products (science data, geometry files, housekeeping), calibration, file formats and file naming conventions, etc., consult the EAICD, RO-IRFU-LAP-EAICD-x_y_z, in the DOCUMENTdirectory. For general caveats, see the EAICD in the DOCUMENT directory. Forspecifics of this mission phase, see the operations report,IRFU-ROS-OPR-PRL in the DOCUMENT/FLIGHT_REPORTS directory.Other caveats:a. The archived data set is complete, but it has not been possible to scan every part of it for every possible problem before delivery, so there may be numerous data quality issues in addition to this list. While the data clearly have a great science potential, analysis has to be done with great care. Anybody using the present dataset is strongly encouraged to contact a LAP CoI for cooperation.D. Updates since previous version---------------------------------- Bugfix: Uses correct ADC20 sampling frequency for setting timestamps for ADC20 data.- Removed previously made modification of ADC16 TM values due to nonlinearity in ADC16.- Uses SPICE for time conversions. Better time conversions from spacecraft clock to UTC.- RO-C-RPCLAP-2-PRL-EDITED-V1.0 split into MTP sub mission phases. V2.0 is the first version of the DATA_SET_ID RO-C-RPCLAP-2-PRL-MTP005-V2.0.

| ABSTRACT_TEXT |
This data set containsEDITED data from Rosetta RPC-LAP, acquired during the PRELANDINGMTP005 mission phase. Comet C-G/67p was the primary target. This data set supersedes RO-C-RPCLAP-2-PRL-EDITED-V1.0 and is onlythe MTP005 part of it.
