| DATA_SET_DESCRIPTION |
Required Reading : The format of all VIRTIS maps are described in detail by the EAICD document located in the /DOCUMENT directory. VIRTIS team strongly recommends reading this documentation before using the data. Data Set Overview : This data set contains maps derived from the data acquired by the Rosetta Orbiter VIRTIS spectrometer during the Comet mission phases of the Rosetta mission. Only VIRTIS-M published maps are included in this dataset. The presently available MAPs depict variation over the nucleus of the following quantity: Albedo (actually Single Scattering Albedo, see papers for definition), Band Depth, Spectral Slopes, Water Ice Abundance. Processing : The data in this data set are derived from the VIRTIS calibrated data, CODMAC Level 5 data. The used algorithms are different for the different maps and are described in the provided reference. Data : The data are in PDS format. A detailed description of the data format is given in the VIRTIS EAICD document located in the DOCUMENT directory of this data set. Ancillary Data : No ancillary data included in this data set. Coordinate System : The LATITUDE and LONGITUDE coordinates are given in the PLANETOCENTRIC coordinate system. These parameters are corrected by planetary and stellar aberrations. Software : No software was delivered.

| ABSTRACT_TEXT |
This release contains maps derived from the data of the VIRTIS instrument on board of the spacecraft Rosetta. Only published maps have been included in this dataset. The description of the mapped parameters can be found in the EAICD and in the scientific papers reported in it. This volume contains data from all the Comet's mission phases, which occurred from 2014-04-06 to 2016-09-29
