Data Set Overview
  =================

The data from the ROSETTA PLASMA CONSORTIUM (RPC) Ion Composition
Analyser (ICA) was submitted by Hans Nilsson for the RPCICA team.

The data set contains data of mass resolved positively charged ions
in the energy range a few eV to 40 keV, given in physical units (flux).
The calibrated data is given for instrument mass channels, not physical
mass ranges. Separation into physical mass ranges must be performed by
the end user using calibration data.

    This dataset contains CALIBRATED DATA from the RPCICA instrument on
mission ROSETTA during Earth the first Earth swingby. Due to an
overheating event RPC-ICA only obtained data from the deep tail at
about 200 RE tailward distance. Protons at about 10 KeV energy were
observed throughout the observation period. Magnetosheath like
populations of protons and alpha particles were observed during
most of the observation period.

An automatic screening removing most corrupt data has been used.
Some faulty data may remain, this is usually obvious from the look of
the data. Cross-talk affects some directional and mass resolution.
