Target Description

TrES-2 is a star with a detected substellar companion with the same
designation, TrES-2, and is a target of the Extrasolar Planet
Observation and CHaracterization (EPOCh) phase of the NASA EPOXI
mission. Other designations for this star are GSC 03549-02811 and
2MASS J19071403+4918590. The star has the following astrometric and
photometric properties:
Spectral type : G0V
Apparent V Magnitude : 11.41
Distance : 220 (-/+10) pc
Mass : 0.98 (-/+0.062) solar masses
Radius : 1 (-/+0.036) solar radii
RA : 19 07 14.035 (FK5, epoch and equinox 2000)
Dec : +49 18 59.07 (FK5, epoch and equinox 2000)
The substellar companion TrES-2 was discovered in 2006 by the
Trans-atlantic Exoplanet Survey (TrES). The known properties of
this extrasolar planet are:
Mass : 1.199 (-/+0.052) Jupiter masses
Semi major axis : 0.03556 (+/-0.00075) AU
Orbital period : 2.470614 (-/+1e-6) days
Eccentricity : 0
Radius : 1.272 (-/+0.041) Jupiter radii
Inclination : 83.62 (-/+0.14) deg
